the smell of fresh-cut grass.

This "winter" in Seattle hasn't been much of a winter. The sunshine has overtaken the coldness; the brightness has outshined the depths of winter. Waking up to the sun shining through the parting clouds makes me a even happier camper. Looking out the window to my left I can see the mountains in the distance and even Mt. Rainer pops through the horizon from Kerry Park. This is ultimate frisbee season.

Spending a majority amount of my time with my buds playing frisbee at any nearby park sounds like the most inviting activity - anything but sitting in class and watching the birds soar in the blue skies, the sun shine down to warm up the air, the flowers blooming all around campus ($50 fine if you choose to pick one), and the squirrels squirm with excitement in the loop...one of the greenest places on campus.

The scent of fresh-cut grass
with the planes flying above
in a blue sky as the birds chirp
yells spring.

Beinvennue printemps.
Je suis excitee pour beaucoup de sol dans les mots a venir.
Je suis reconnaissante.
